Eunju Park’s Artwork
Eunju Park, a self-taught Korean letter abstract collage artist, was born in Ulsan, South Korea, and has lived in St. Albert, Canada, since 2010. She turned to art as a means of healing after personal hardships, including the loss of her father. Seeking to reconnect with her Korean heritage, she embraced Hanji, traditional Korean paper, using its resilience as a metaphor for personal growth. Her abstract collages incorporate Korean letters with affirming messages like “You Matter” and “Radical Acceptance.” Eunju’s work, featured in numerous exhibitions, highlights themes of self-love, mental health awareness, and cultural pride, evoking deep emotional responses. She also leads Hanji workshops at cultural events, promoting Korean art and heritage. Through her creations, Eunju inspires hope, fosters cultural understanding, and honors traditional Korean artistry. Proud to contribute to the East Asian Art Exhibition, she uses her work to uplift audiences with messages of resilience and affirmation.
